Actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness are parting ways after enjoying a loving marriage of 27 years, as reported by US media.
According to the celebrity magazine People, the Australian duo expressed their gratitude for nearly three decades of togetherness.
In their statement, they revealed that their life journey is taking a new direction as they’ve chosen to separate in pursuit of personal growth.
Jackman and Furness first crossed paths on the set of the TV show Correlli back in 1995. At that time, Furness was an established actress, while Jackman was just starting his career after graduating from drama school.
Their wedding took place in April 1996, and later on, they welcomed two adopted children, who are n are now 23 and 18 years old.
According to their statement in People, their family remains their top priority, and they embark on this new chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. They kindly request privacy as they navigate this transition in their lives.
